History of Rebels Softball
Rebels Softball was founded in the fall of 1998 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, during a time when Northwest Arkansas was transitioning from slow-pitch to fastpitch softball. What began as a single team made up entirely of Prairie Grove athletes quickly became something much more—a foundational piece in the revitalization of fastpitch softball across the region.
This original group of players stayed together from 14U through 18U, building not only their skills but a culture rooted in toughness, discipline, and teamwork. They competed in top-level tournaments throughout the area and earned a reputation as a hard-nosed, fundamentally sound team that consistently performed at a high level. More importantly, they learned together, grew together, and competed for one another.
Their success extended beyond travel ball. As high school athletes, this group helped lead Prairie Grove to state championships in 2001, 2002, and 2003—cementing their legacy both on and off the field.
Even today, the bonds formed through Rebels Softball remain strong. The players and families are still connected, a testament to the lasting impact of the experience. Four of the eleven athletes went on to play at the next level, and all of them carry a deep, lifelong passion for the game.
That legacy is the foundation of today’s Rebels Softball organization.
Growing up, I was the kid brother watching, learning, and traveling from field to field. While I played on competitive teams of my own, there was something different about Rebels Softball. It wasn’t just the talent—it was the community, the support, and the genuine dedication surrounding my older sister and her teammates.
Now, 25 years later, as a father of three daughters, my goal is simple: to recreate that same experience. Rebels Softball is about more than developing great players—it’s about developing great people. It’s about building a support system that lasts well beyond the final inning.
We’re not just forming teams—we’re building something that players and families can rely on for years to come.

TEAMS LOOKING FOR SUPPORT
Are you a Coach of a Team, without an organization? Do you have a roster but no real structure? We would love to talk to you and see how we can help. We are open to adding teams in every age group. It will be very selective as it has to be a culture fit. Organization fees will be minimum, cost per player will be common sense. The purpose is to grow softball and the athletes that play it!
